The EU-funded IMPAC3T-IP project has officially joined forces with the ZOOOM initiative, a collaboration solidified through a recently signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This partnership underscores the projects’ shared mission to foster collaboration within the European innovation landscape, promoting knowledge exchange and advancing best practices across both initiatives.
By integrating their respective strengths, both projects aim to build a more cohesive framework for knowledge valorisation, with a particular focus on open-source and intellectual property (IP) management. IMPAC3T-IP, with our scenario-based licensing toolbox and tailored training programmes, will contribute resources and insights that complement ZOOOM’s work on open-source hardware, software, and data. Together, the projects will explore co-funding opportunities, host joint events, and support cross-project activities, which extend beyond the lifespan of individual initiatives.

An example of this collaboration is the participation of IMPAC3T-IP Communication Manager, Clémence Contant from META Group, in ZOOOM’s Final Conference where she presented the project.
The event offered an excellent platform for engaging with stakeholders and discussing IMPAC3T-IP’s toolbox, training programme, and the broader impact on EU-led open innovation. This involvement highlights IMPAC3T-IP’s commitment to strengthening relationships within the EU’s intellectual property ecosystem.
Through this alliance, IMPAC3T-IP and ZOOOM will collaborate on knowledge sharing and explore potential avenues for co-funding. Both projects are aim to support the EU’s knowledge valorisation strategy, contributing to a more robust framework for open-source initiatives across Europe.
